Powder Coating
In-house powder coating for fabricated steel and metalwork, including standard colour, sheen, texture and selected decorative finish options.
Robo Door powder coats its own products and customer-supplied metalwork in-house, in a wide range of standard colours with gloss, satin, matte and textured finishes. Surface preparation is matched to the substrate, from a standard clean to sandblasting or galvanising.
The coating is only one part of the finish.
Powder coating uses electrostatically applied dry powder that is cured to form the finished coating. The appearance can range from smooth gloss through satin, matte and textured finishes, with selected decorative effects available by system.
Surface preparation comes first.
The substrate, its existing coating, contamination, galvanising and exposure all affect the preparation required before powder is applied. New fabrication and refurbishment therefore do not always follow the same preparation route.

Customer-supplied items
Third-party steelwork can be assessed for coating, but existing rust, paint, oil, unknown alloys or previous finishes may require additional preparation. The item should be inspected before a coating system or warranty is promised.
