We measure the actual route before making anything. Stairs, ramps and walkways can need different heights, supports, returns and clearances, depending on the building and who uses it.
Wall-mounted or post-supported
Wall brackets suit a route beside a structural wall. Posts work where there is no wall, or where you also need a separate guard.
Material
Pick steel, stainless steel or aluminium for exposure, looks, weight and upkeep.
Railing or balustrade?
A railing is something to hold on to along a route. A Balustrade protects a raised edge. Some stairs need both.

Finish
Steel can be powder coated, sandblasted and primed, electroplated, or hot-dip galvanised and powder coated; aluminium is powder coated. The paint warranty runs from one to five years depending on the finish, and galvanising adds rust cover of up to ten years inland. Robo Door steel, stainless steel and aluminium railings carry a 2-year manufacturing warranty. The full table is on the warranty page.

Every Robo Door quote gives you two options. With Installation: we measure and fit it. In Gauteng our own team fits; elsewhere in South Africa the Robo Door location for your town does, in Zambia our Lusaka team, and the Robo Door distributor in most other markets. Supply Only / DIY: supplied to your measurements for your own fitter, in all twelve markets.
