Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026. This policy explains how Robo Door collects, uses and protects your personal information in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

Robo Door CC (Registration No. 2005/167957/23) is the Responsible Party for personal information collected through this website and our sales, manufacturing and installation operations. Our head office and primary factory is at 18 Barium Street, Alrode, Alberton, South Africa, with a second factory in Lusaka, Zambia, and distributor partners across the African markets we serve.

What we collect

When you request a quote, book a site visit, contact us on WhatsApp or place an order, we collect your name, phone number, email address, installation address and details about the products you are interested in. If you apply for finance (offered in South Africa only), the information needed for a credit check is collected with your consent. We do not collect more information than we need.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to prepare and send quotations, schedule site visits, manufacture and install your order, process payments, provide warranty and after-sales support, and meet our legal and tax obligations. With your consent, we may send you information about our products and promotions — you can opt out at any time and we will stop.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to fulfil our obligations to you: with freight and customs-clearance partners for cross-border orders, with registered credit bureaus where you apply for financing, and with the service providers who host our website, email and business systems. Each operator processes your information under written obligations of confidentiality and security.

Cross-border processing

Your information is processed primarily in South Africa. Where your order is delivered or installed in another country we serve, the details needed to complete the work are shared with our factory or distributor partner in that country, subject to safeguards consistent with section 72 of POPIA.

Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. We keep your information for as long as needed to honour your warranty, meet legal record-keeping requirements, and resolve any disputes — after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing, including direct marketing. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@robodoor.africa. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, such as the security check on quote forms. Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads and Meta) run when you visit, so we can measure how the site and our adverts perform.
