Slatted Privacy Screens

Start with the sightline, not a privacy rating. Tell us who can see in, from where and at what height. We then set slat direction and spacing to interrupt that view while light and air still come through.

Horizontal or vertical

Orientation changes how the screen looks, how it is supported and how it sits with the building around it.

Garden, balcony or pool

A garden screen closes a neighbour's view of the lawn or braai. A balcony screen cuts the view from the flat next door. A pool screen hides the pump and filter or gives the pool itself some privacy. Each one starts from the same question: who is looking, and from where.

Mounting

Wall-mounted, post-mounted or freestanding frames are designed for the panel height, the wind exposure and what you are fixing into. A freestanding screen suits a patio where nothing can be drilled.

On top of a wall or fence?

Raising a boundary wall or fence is a wall extension, part of our Slat Fencing range.

Slat or laser-cut?

Choose slats for a clean, linear screen. Compare Laser Cut Privacy Screens if you want a patterned feature panel.

Product: Slat Privacy Panel.

Finish

Steel can be powder coated, sandblasted and primed, electroplated, or hot-dip galvanised and powder coated; aluminium is powder coated. The paint warranty runs from one to five years depending on the finish, and galvanising adds rust cover of up to ten years inland. Robo Door Slat Privacy Panels carry a 2-year manufacturing warranty. The full table is on the warranty page.
