Pedestrian Gates

Decide how the gate will lock before we build it. We settle the clear width, opening direction, lock type and the wall or fence it hangs on first, because a busy staff gate and a quiet household gate need different hardware.

Access control built in, not added later

If you want an electric lock, intercom, keypad or reader, we prepare the gate for it in the factory. Cable routes and brackets go in during fabrication, which looks neater than drilling and fixing afterwards.

Hardware for the traffic

Hinges, closers and locks are chosen for the size of the gate and how often it is used. The exact hardware is listed on your quotation.

Pedestrian or garden gate?

Finish

Steel can be powder coated, sandblasted and primed, electroplated, or hot-dip galvanised and powder coated; aluminium is powder coated. The paint warranty runs from one to five years depending on the finish, and galvanising adds rust cover of up to ten years inland. The full table is on the warranty page.
