Aluminium is a lightweight metal that naturally forms a protective oxide layer. It can offer useful corrosion resistance and low weight, making it worth considering for selected gates, fencing, shutters, garage doors, balustrades and other architectural products.

Why choose aluminium?

Corrosion-resistant does not mean corrosion-proof

Aluminium does not rust in the same way as carbon steel, but it can still corrode or suffer coating and surface problems in aggressive environments or where incompatible metals, salts or chemicals are present. Alloy, finish, drainage, isolation and maintenance all matter.

Strength depends on the whole profile

Material name alone does not determine how rigid or secure a product is. Alloy, section geometry, wall thickness, span, connections and product design should be considered together.
