Trellis Door Buyer's Guide: Econo to Alu-Deluxe

Robo Door makes four retractable trellis doors, all in its own factories and all to the measured opening, from R3,500. Econo and DuPlus carry a five-year manufacturing warranty. Deluxe carries ten years plus the five-year Break-In Repair Guarantee. Alu-Deluxe carries ten years in aluminium for coastal sites. Choose by exposure and by the cover you want.

Econo

The entry point. A steel retractable barrier with the same stacking action as the rest of the range, made to the opening, with a five-year manufacturing warranty. Right for sheltered inland openings where budget leads.

DuPlus

A steel product a step up in construction from Econo, also at five years. The choice when the opening is used hard every day but the site is inland and the break-in cover is not the deciding factor.

Deluxe

The premium steel product and the only trellis door with the Break-In Repair Guarantee: if a confirmed forced-entry attempt damages Robo Door-made components in the first five years, Robo Door repairs or replaces them, given a police case number and a written claim within 30 days. Ten-year manufacturing warranty. The right choice for the front door and the main patio.

Alu-Deluxe

The aluminium product for coastal suburbs and sites within 500 metres of the sea. It does not rust, carries a ten-year manufacturing warranty and is powder coated in the colour you choose. It does not carry the Break-In Repair Guarantee.

Mixing products across a house

Deluxe on the front door and the patio, Econo on the scullery, Alu-Deluxe on the sea-facing side: mixing is normal and sensible, as long as each choice is deliberate and written on the quotation.
