Security Gates and Burglar Bars in Zambia

Robo Door manufactures trellis doors, security gates and burglar bars in its own factory in Lusaka, so a Zambian job is measured, made and installed locally rather than imported. The product lines and their warranties are the same as in South Africa: Econo and DuPlus at five years, Deluxe and Alu-Deluxe at ten. Installation and supply-only are both available.

Made in Lusaka

Robo Door has manufactured in Alrode since 2005 and runs a second factory in Lusaka. For Zambian customers that means shorter lead times, local measuring and local warranty service, without a border in the supply chain. Lead times from Kabangwe are the same as from Alrode: trellis doors, fixtures and burglar bars in 5 to 7 working days, DuPlus in 10 to 14, and custom gates and shutters in 15 to 21, plus one week for galvanising or a non-standard colour. Power outages

Battery backup is an option on the quote for every driveway gate motor. The number of cycles a battery gives depends on its age and the gate's weight, so it is tested on the maintenance schedule.

Finish and climate

Lusaka is inland. Steel products are offered in finishes from plain powder coat to hot-dip galvanising, and the paint warranty follows the finish and the exposure of the opening: sheltered, semi-exposed or fully exposed to rain and irrigation. Maintenance is the same routine as everywhere: wash twice a year, lubricate moving parts every six months, touch up chips within 30 days.

Installed, Robo Door measures, makes, fits and carries the workmanship. Supply-only, the product is made to your measurements and collected or delivered with fixing instructions; Robo Clear polycarbonate bars come as a complete DIY kit.
