Trellis doors and burglar bars in Sandton

Sandton is gate country. In the 24 months to September 2026 we fitted 55 security gates there over 38 orders, more than in any other suburb on this site. Most went on front doors and patio openings, where a rigid leaf suits the architecture.

Two years of Sandton orders

Our records show 248 orders with a Sandton delivery address in that period. Robo Door installed 166, and 45 were repairs or service on existing gates and bars. Besides the gates there were 180 trellis doors (127 Econo, 53 Deluxe), 181 burglar-bar panels, 15 garden gates, four driveway gates and two strongroom doors. They went into Bryanston, Morningside, Rivonia, Hyde Park and the estates around them. One commercial project alone took 389 roller shutter units.

Why Deluxe on the front door

Deluxe is the front-door and patio door in the range, and it comes with the Break-In Repair Guarantee. That is where most of the 53 went.

Estates and trustees

Estate rules on colour and design are sorted out at the site visit. Trustees usually want the itemised quote, which lists the product line, finish, colour and warranty for every opening.

On finish, Sandton is inland. Sheltered doors need only sandblast, primer and powder coat, while gates in the open or in sprinkler reach should be hot-dip galvanised underneath. Ask for the maintenance routine at handover. It is short, and it keeps the warranty alive.
