Trellis doors and burglar bars in Midrand

In Midrand the job usually starts with the trustees, not the front door. Most of our work here is inside an estate or a sectional-title scheme, and the body corporate wants a written specification before it approves a colour or a design.

Getting it past the body corporate

Our quotation is itemised per opening and names the product line, finish, colour and warranty on each line. That is usually the document trustees ask for. The sectional-title guide on this site walks through the approval routine.

Midrand in numbers

Over the 24 months to September 2026 we had 90 orders with a Midrand delivery address. Our own fitters installed 59 of them, made in the Alrode factory, and 19 were repair or service jobs on existing gates and bars.

Econo Fixture Lite is the Midrand bar: 46 of the 57 burglar-bar panels, in nine orders. It is fixture-fitted, which suits the aluminium windows of the newer townhouses and estates. The 67 trellis doors split 32 Econo, 16 Deluxe, 15 DuPlus and four Alu-Deluxe. We also fitted 12 security gates, 10 garden gates, five fixed panels and one strongroom door in Noordwyk, Vorna Valley, Halfway Gardens, Kyalami and the business parks along the N1.

These figures cover Robo Door orders placed in the 24 months to 9 September 2026, matched on the delivery address. Some addresses name more than one area, so the area totals on this site overlap. Do not add them together.

Gates that stand in the garden

Midrand is inland. A doorway under a roof does fine with sandblast, primer and powder coat. A garden gate in the open or in the sprinkler line lasts longer hot-dip galvanised under the powder coat.

Trellis doors start from R3,500 and burglar bars from R1,000; gates are priced after the site visit. Request a quote or WhatsApp +27 82 888 1919.
