Trellis doors and burglar bars in Germiston

Our Alrode factory is a few kilometres from Germiston, and the order book shows it. In the 24 months to September 2026 we took 109 orders with a Germiston delivery address. Our own installers fitted 87 of them, and 16 were repairs or service on gates and bars already in place.

A DuPlus town

Germiston buys more DuPlus than any other East Rand suburb on this site. Of the 111 trellis doors, 51 were Econo, 32 Deluxe and 28 DuPlus. Burglar bars came to 115 panels: Econo Bars led with 70, then 19 Deluxe Fixture and nine DuPlus Fixture.

We also fitted seven security gates, three garden gates, two fixed panels, a roller shutter door and a strongroom door. The work ran through Bedfordview, Primrose, Lambton, Dinwiddie and the industrial strip along the N3.

These figures cover Robo Door orders placed in the 24 months to 9 September 2026, matched on the delivery address. Some addresses name more than one area, so the area totals on this site overlap. Do not add them together.

Inland, but watch the workshop floor

Rust is a small risk this far inland. A sheltered doorway only needs sandblast, primer and powder coat, with a three-year paint warranty. A garden gate in the open or in sprinkler spray should be hot-dip galvanised under the powder coat, which adds five years of rust cover.

Factories with wash-down bays or chemicals on site should tell us at the site visit. Chemical damage that isn't rinsed off is not covered by the warranty.
