Yes, you can buy Robo Door products in twelve African countries. In South Africa and Zambia, Robo Door's own teams measure and install. In Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania, the Robo Door distributor delivers and installs. In the Seychelles and the DR Congo, products are supplied for your own installer.

Where the products are made

Trellis doors, security gates and burglar bars are made in Robo Door's factories in Alrode, South Africa, and Kabangwe, Lusaka, in Zambia. Zambian orders come from the Lusaka factory. Supply-only orders for the other markets can ship directly from Alrode.

How buying works through a distributor

Enquire. Use the quote form, WhatsApp or phone and give your city. The enquiry is routed to the team that serves it.
Measure. Every opening is measured before the quote is final. Ask the distributor how this is arranged for your site; for a supply-only order, you send the measurements and the quote is made to them.
Quote. The quotation lists the product line, finish, locks, who installs and the payment terms for your market.
Make and deliver. The products are made to the measured sizes and delivered, then installed by the distributor or collected for your own installer.

Payment terms by market

South Africa: 70% deposit and 30% on installation or delivery, or 7% off for paying in full upfront. Finance is available in South Africa only.
Zambia: 80% deposit and 20% on installation, or 7% off for paying upfront. VAT is 16% and prices are in kwacha. No finance.
The other ten markets: payment terms are set on your quote.

What to ask before you order

Who measures, who installs and who you call after installation.
Which product line is quoted and the warranty for that line. On a Deluxe Trellis Door, for example, the manufacturing warranty is 10 years and the Break-In Repair Guarantee is 5 years; on the Econo Trellis Door it is 5 years.
Which finish is quoted. Near the sea, ask about aluminium or hot-dip galvanising, because salt air shortens the life of a plain steel finish.
What the delivery date depends on, and how you will be told.

Supply-only: what suits it

Some products are easier to fit yourself than others. Robo Clear Burglar Bars come as a complete kit, cut to size with one-way screws or rivets, caps, washers and an installation guide. Trellis doors and gates need accurate measuring and a solid fixing surface, so use an experienced installer. Read installation or supply-only before you choose.
