What we measure
We measure the door frame, the wall around it, the threshold and where there is solid surface to fix into. We also agree which way the door swings, because a hinged leaf needs clear space to open.
Locks and hinges
The lock, hinges and other hardware are matched to the door and listed on your quotation.
No room to swing?
If the door cannot swing open freely, look at a folding trellis door instead. It folds and stacks to the side.
Finish
Powder coating, sandblasting and primer, electroplating or hot-dip galvanising: the finish sets how long the paint and rust cover lasts where you live. The warranty page has the table.

What is the difference between a trellis door and a hinged burglar door?
A folding trellis door folds to one side on a track, so it suits wide openings and doors you leave open. A hinged burglar door, our Swing Trellis Door, swings like a normal door and suits a single doorway with space to open into.
What lock types do you offer and which is most secure?
Trellis doors take a slam lock, a deadlock or both, up to three locks per door; one is fitted as standard. Hook locks have an anti-lift pin, and electromagnetic locks are available.
A slam lock locks itself when the door closes; a deadlock needs the key. Two locks are harder to force than one.
Can I have all my locks keyed alike?
Yes. Ask for keyed-alike cylinders when you order.
