Wall Art

Wall art works when the scale fits the wall.

A small piece above a braai and a large panel on a boundary wall need different sizes, detail and fixings. Settle the wall, the viewing distance and the exposure first, then finalise the artwork.

Tell us the usable wall size, how far away the piece will normally be seen and whether it faces sun, rain, pool chemicals or salt air. That decides the material, finish and fixing.

Your own artwork

Send a logo, a name or a drawing and we check whether it can become a stable cutting pattern. Very fine unsupported details sometimes have to be simplified.

Cut panel or fabricated piece?

Laser-cut sheet gives silhouettes and patterns. Mounted on stand-offs, it throws a shadow on the wall, which works well at entrances and in courtyards. Fabricated metalwork adds depth and welded detail for a more sculptural piece.

Mounting

Brick, plaster, cladding and framed walls each need different fixings, and outdoor pieces must handle wind. We price the mounting with the piece, not after it is made.

What affects the price?

Size, material, cutting complexity, artwork preparation, finish, mounting and site conditions. Wall dimensions and usable artwork give you a more accurate quote.

Finish and care

Steel can be powder coated, sandblasted and primed, electroplated or hot-dip galvanised; aluminium is powder coated. The paint warranty runs from one to five years depending on the finish, and galvanising adds rust cover of up to ten years inland.
