Grey laser-cut steel cover with a star pattern around an outdoor heat-pump unit

Covers

A good equipment cover hides the unit without making it harder or less safe to use.

Condensers need airflow. Heat pumps and boilers need a technician to get in. Gas installations have their own ventilation rules, and bins still have to come out on collection day. So the cover is designed around the equipment, not as a decorative box.

  • Slats, louvres, doors and removable service sections, combined per site
  • Wall-mounted or ground-mounted
  • Steel for a rigid screen, aluminium where weight or rust matters
  • Slat and louvre styles can match your gates, fencing and privacy panels
  • Installed by us or supply only

AC covers

AC Covers are designed around the condenser footprint, the direction it blows, the pipework and the maker's clearances. The screen must never block airflow or the technician.

Heat-pump and boiler covers

Boiler and Heat-Pump Covers allow for pipe connections, service panels and ventilation. Opening or removable sections go where access is needed.

Gas areas

Cylinders and regulators must stay compliant with the gas installation and ventilation requirements. A screen never overrides those clearances.

Bins

Here it is about looks and daily use. Doors and clearances should suit how the bins are wheeled out, cleaned and collected.

What to measure

The equipment footprint, pipework, valves, service panels, moving parts and anything in the way. The unit should be serviceable without taking the cover apart.

What affects the price?

Size, material, the number of doors or removable panels, slat or louvre detail, finish and mounting. A small AC screen and a multi-unit commercial enclosure are very different jobs.

Finish and warranty

Steel can be powder coated, sandblasted and primed, electroplated or hot-dip galvanised; aluminium is powder coated. The paint warranty runs from one to five years depending on the finish, and galvanising adds rust cover of up to ten years inland. Robo Door AC, heat-pump, boiler, gas bottle and bin covers carry a 2-year manufacturing warranty. The full table is on the warranty page.

The cover warranty applies to the cover only. It does not replace the equipment maker's warranty, so check their airflow, heat and service rules before you pick a look.
